The Spoiler Embargo
THE RULE
Do not reveal a recorded game's result until every man who announced a delay has watched it or released the embargo.
WHAT THIS MEANS
A saved game is a sealed time capsule. Scores, celebrations, and suspicious sympathy texts can all break the seal.
WHEN IT DOES NOT APPLY
- The viewer never announced that he was recording it
- More than twenty-four hours pass without a watch plan
- A live public setting makes avoiding the result impossible
EXAMPLES
- VIOLATION: You text 'unbelievable comeback' to the friend who said he was watching after work.
- NO VIOLATION: You mute the group chat and ask him to message when the final whistle is safe.
