The Haircut Honesty Rule
THE RULE
If a friend's haircut is clearly failing, tell him privately before photographs or an important event.
WHAT THIS MEANS
The barber may have finished, but the review process remains open. Silence becomes participation once cameras are involved.
WHEN IT DOES NOT APPLY
- The haircut is unusual but clearly intentional
- There is no practical time or way to fix it before the event
- He directly states that he likes it and wants no review
EXAMPLES
- VIOLATION: You praise a crooked home fade, then post close-up photos from the reunion.
- NO VIOLATION: You pull him aside, name the uneven spot, and offer a hat or a better barber.
