The Last Beer or Wing Choice
THE RULE
A man may claim the last beer or the last wing in one sitting, but not both unless the table approves.
WHAT THIS MEANS
One final item is appetite. Taking both closes the bar and the kitchen behind you, which is economic warfare.
WHEN IT DOES NOT APPLY
- Everyone else clearly declines both items
- You supplied the entire order and the table releases the leftovers
- The remaining wing cannot be eaten by anyone else because of an allergy
EXAMPLES
- VIOLATION: You crack the final cold beer while hiding the last wing under a napkin.
- NO VIOLATION: You take the wing and point the untouched final beer toward the next man.
